We encourage you to make plans to be at the Texas Beekeepers Association Annual Conference at the Bell County Expo Center on the 30th and 31st October, 2015. You can click the link to check out the Convention Program we have to date on-line. Please go to texasbeekeepers.org to register or mail the registration form in the Journal ? before October 22nd. The Convention features James L Frazier from Penn State University speaking on ?Why our Bees are Dying and What Can We Do?, and Maryanne Frazier on ?The Toxic House Bees Live In and What We Can Do.? Clint Walker will be talking about ?The Diverse Landscapes of Texas? as well as ?Effective Varroa Treatments?. TBA President Blake Shook will talk about ?Creative Ways to Market Honey?
And there?s much more ? especially the Annual Banquet where we raise money to fund the Queen Program. If you are able to donate auction items for the Banquet, please bring them with you or contact Shirley Doggett at (512) 924-5051.
There?s the honey and photography competition and many of our equipment and honey bee related vendors will be exhibiting.
