The Palm Beach County Beekeepers Association presents the South Florida Honey Bee Expo 2024, featuring two full days of lectures and workshops headed by nationally known speakers. Presenters include: Petra Anhert, Author, “Beehive Alchemy”; Howland Blackiston, Author, “Beekeeping For Dummies”; Dr. Pryia Basu, Mississippi State University; Sam Comfort, Anarchy Apiaries; Jon Elmquist, Jaret Daniels’ lab at the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity; Gary Fuller, BJCP Certified Beer, Mead, and Cider Judge Bourbon Steward; Jennifer Hagen, University of Florida/IFAS Extension Lee County; Dr. Juliana Rangel, Texas A&M University; Nathan Reid, Dalan Animal Health; Kamon Reynolds, Tennesse Bees; Ang Roell, They Keep Bees; Branden Stanford, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; Tucka Saville, Tucka Bees; Al Salopek; Dr. Garett Slater, USDA-ARS Bee Lab in Baton Rouge; Angie Thul, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; Ellen Topitzhofer, Cornell University; Chris Werner, Indian Summer Honey Farm; David Westervelt, WSR Insurance.
Additionally, the Expo will offer a Welsh honey and mead judging competition and a bee supply marketplace along with an on-site apiary with live demonstrations throughout the event.
The 2024 South Florida Honey Bee Expo will be held at the Palm Beach Gardens campus of Palm Beach State College located at 3160 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.
