Queen rearing Intensive weekend Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16, 2021. 9AM-4PM; queen cell pickup, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 6PM-8PM
This two-day course will include grafting larvae, the Cloake board method of queen rearing, and the use of mating nucs. Hands on experience with grafting will complement lectures on queen rearing and queen breeding. Each student will receive a queen bar frame, plastic queen cell cups, and a grafting tool; if successful, the student may have queen cells to take home nine days later.
