We are excited to once again be holding our annual Bee FunDay Expo event this year! This event is a family friendly educational experience for all skill levels of beekeeping. We have a fabulous lineup of speakers as well as local Master Beekeepers and NEKBA members filling out the day with presentations, at-the-hive demos and a live swarm demonstration! Our event includes a vendor expo including HillCo, Beekeepers.com, Dadant and more! There will also be a silent auction, breakfast, hot lunch, and honey ice cream made by club members!
Speakers include:
- Blake Shook from Texas, commercial beekeeper and owner of The Bee Supply
- Dr. Jennifer Tsuruda, University of Tennessee
- Rogan Tokach, Auburn University, currently in Thailand studying the Tropilaelaps mite
- Dr. Judy Wu-Smart, Director of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Bee Lab
Several students from UNL will also be giving talks and conducting at-the-hive demos. - Dr. Autumn Smart, Research Assistant Professor of Entomology University of Nebraska-Lincoln
