Three Rivers Beekeepers is preparing its 2026 Beginning Beekeeping Workshop. Classes will be held on Saturday, January 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the University of Missouri Extension Center – St Charles County, 260 Brown Rod, St Peters MO 63376.
The main topics to be discussed are:
- Honey Bee Biology, Anatomy, and Social Structure
- Basic Beekeeping Equipment
- Where Do I Get/Put My Bees?
- Honey Bee Pests and Diseases
- Hive Inspections/Swarms
You will also receive a copy of the highly-regarded beekeeping instruction manual, “The Beekeeper’s Handbook” by Diana Sammataro and Alphonse Avitabile.
