Charles Frederic Andros, former NH and VT Apiary Inspector, is offering a series of workshops for 2026 — all held at my home in Alstead, NH. The workshops cover seasonal work with your hives. Cost is $35 each, children under 18 free when accompanied by parent. I have 53 seasons of extensive apicultural experience which I like to pass on!

Workshop schedule:
Saturday, July 18, 1-4 p.m.. The topics of discussion will be taking off and extracting honey, wax processing, queen assessment and requeening, treatment of mites and foulbrood, and making propolis tincture. Beekeepers must take timely steps to control American foulbrood and varroa mites to SAVE THE BEES!

Registration required. Email: lindenamel@gmail.com or call 603-756-9056.

Workshop address: 18 MacLean Road, 1st on right, Alstead, NH 03602. Look for the “BEE” sign on the south side of Walpole Valley Road. I am 15 minutes from Rte. I-91(Exit 5 or 6), 1 hour south of White River Junction, 40 minutes north of Brattleboro, and 25 minutes north of Keene off Rte. 12A. Beware navigators that send you up Webster Road, or put me a mile south of Walpole Valley Road (it’s 60 yards!). Ask and I’ll send detailed directions, including a 15-minute saving Sullivan shortcut from Route 9 to the east!

Bring a veil, if you have one, as we shall be opening some colonies. Water and sunscreen are also a plus.
