Come join us on our farm this spring, for our Sixth Annual Alternative Beekeepers Gathering where new and experienced keepers can learn, talk, and discuss!

Bring a dish to pass and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in our apiary with hands-on experience, surrounded with other like-minded bee folk!

Many opportunities are available to learn how to keep bees commercially, massively, and for maximized production. We have worked hand in hand with many commercial keepers at most of Michigan’s acclaimed bee schools, clubs and meetings. We’re here to tell you there IS an alternative and you can keep your bees ethically.

We discuss top bar hive systems (Warre and horizontal TBH), feeding, medicating, honey harvesting, tending, observing and inspections in our classes; primarily the differences in principles between conventional and sustainable beekeeping.

Bio: Jessica and Keith Steller have been alternative beekeepers for over a decade. The Stellers are actively sought out by Michigan beekeeping associations to speak publicly on the topic of alternative beekeeping. The Stellers offer a full line products from the hive and also build alternative beehives.
