“I planted an area of about 40×10 with a pollinator, wildflower mix in 2018. They are mostly bachelor buttons. The bachelor buttons came back the strongest” in 2019, but since that time “the California poppies have especially thrived. … The only thing I’ve done maintenance wise is weed-eat it down after the growing season. … I also really enjoy being able to sit by the hives and watch them work the flowers along with observing all the activity in and out of their homes.”
