Welcome Izzy Hill to the Project Apis m. Team! Izzy will be leading an exciting new program called the Bee Health Regulatory Consortium.
Here are a few words from Izzy:
“I am excited to be joining PAm and to help lead a new consortium focused on better addressing beekeeper needs, particularly access to affordable and effective bee health tools, at a moment of both urgency and opportunity for the industry. After nearly two decades working at the intersection of science, policy, and pollinator health, I am motivated by the need to turn innovation into practical, real-world solutions for our industry.”
The consortium will bring together beekeepers, growers, researchers, technology developers, and regulators to address barriers that limit access to new tools and inputs critical to honey bee production and industry resilience. By emphasizing pragmatic, science-based approaches and exploring alternative regulatory and market frameworks, the consortium will create common ground for stakeholders to work collectively to accelerate innovation while supporting the environmental and economic sustainability of beekeeping.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to begin building this new model for addressing shared challenges and excited to help strengthen the future of beekeeping and the many crops that depend on honey bee pollination.”
Stay tuned for more updates!
