Winter came early to Cathy Misko’s backyard in Centerview, Missouri. Halloween Day, to be exact. The leaves were just turning, and mostly still on the trees, and yet there was that snow on the ground. Look closely at the center of the photo in the shade, and there also is Darlin,’ the family’s Australian Shepherd ― carrying a litter of 10 pups that she would deliver two days later.
