  Beekeepers Association (BYBA) has been educating the public about honey b
 ees and beekeeping for twenty + years.  With over 400 members\, our assoc
 iation has grown to become one of the Nation’s largest regional clubs fo
 r beekeeping hobbyists. Some of our members are just getting started as be
 ekeepers\, and some have enjoyed this hobby for years. All share an intere
 st in the wonderful and remarkable world of the honey bee. This regional c
 lub is dedicated to promoting beekeeping as a hobby\, and spreading the go
 od word about the remarkable honey bee.\nJamie Ellis: The Indispensible Nu
 c\n“Nucs” are small honey bee colonies housed in small hives. Conseque
 ntly\, their importance in beekeeping is often overlooked. Despite this\, 
 nucs can become an indispensable tool in one’s beekeeping operation. In 
 this lecture\, the benefits of using nucs will be discussed and their  i
 mportance emphasized. \nThe purpose of the BYBA is to provide it’s memb
 ership with interesting and practical information about the “how-to’s
 ” of beekeeping.   The club also provides the general public with educ
 ational programs about honey bees and the benefits of beekeeping in our co
 mmunities.  The BYBA is a not for profit\, 501C-3 charitable organization
 .\n\nThere are 9 monthly meetings that begin at 7:30 pm on the last Tuesda
 y of the month in January\, February\, March\, April\, May\, June\, Septem
 ber\, October and November and are held at the Norfield Church Community R
 oom\, 64 Norfield Road\, Weston\, Connecticut.\n\nThere are two meetings d
 esigned specifically for new beekeepers (The Newbees and Special Topics) a
 t 6:00 pm\, prior to our regular meetings.  We encourage all to come!  T
