DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Biodynamic Beekeeper Training \n\nFor those who ar
 e prepared for the most in-depth and comprehensive training in beekeeping 
 that we offer at Spikenard! \n\nThis class presents a unique learning opp
 ortunity for all who would like to immerse themselves into a holistic unde
 rstanding of the Sacred Bee. It is this knowledge that inspires and guides
  our practice of keeping and caring for the bees and for working with the 
 earth.\n\nThe main objective of this training is to deepen the understandi
 ng of the honeybees and the laws of nature\, which are the laws of life\, 
 in order to arrive at appropriate beekeeping practices that strengthen the
  honeybee’s compromised immune system and restore health.\n\nBy going be
 yond traditional/organic/natural beekeeping methods\, we will explore beek
 eeping practices that will bring the honeybees and us into the future. A n
 ew way of relating to the animal kingdom is dictated by the needs of our t
 imes. The overarching goal of healing will lead us into a deeper understan
 ding of the most holistic way of enlivening the landscape and forage for t
 he pollinators: biodynamic agriculture.\n\nThis training will have a total
  of 4 sessions (3 days each)\, two in 2016 and two in 2017. Each session w
 ill include lectures\, group sessions\, practical experience with bees and
  artistic activities that will help train our sense of observation\, a nec
 essary tool for rising above ‘recipes’. After completion of the four s
 essions and reading requirements\, the training will finish with a certifi
 cate for biodynamic/sustainable beekeeping. As these sessions are conceive
 d as an organic whole\, they can only be taken as a whole and in proper se
