 ne-day workshop will address all the questions aspiring beekeepers need to
  ask as they prepare to embark on this spiritual yet profoundly nature-bou
 nd journey. Beekeepers with one or two years experience will also find thi
 s workshop a useful opportunity to take stock of their experiences to date
 \, ask questions\, and share insights.\nThe workshop will be organized aro
 und the yearly life cycle of the hive\, and the beekeeper?s essential role
  in nurturing the hive organism. What can the beekeeper do to create condi
 tions in which the bees can thrive? What are the most up-to-date natural a
 nd holistic methods\, and how do they work?\nOther topics covered will inc
 lude: the biology of the hive organism and the beekeepers role in fosterin
 g healthy hives\, equipment and alternative hive designs\, where to get be
 es\, siting your hives\, gardening to support your bees\, beekeeping as a 
 path to heightened powers of observation and awareness\, and much more.\nW
 eather permitting\, the day will include a visit to the Pfeiffer Center's 
 apiary\, where we will open some hives and demonstrate techniques for work
