DESCRIPTION:The Michigan Beekeepers? Association (MBA) will hold their 150t
 h Annual Fall Meeting on Friday\, October 23 and Saturday\, October 24\, a
 t the Great Wolf Lodge Resort\, located at 3575 N US Highway 31 S\, Traver
 se City\, MI 49684. In addition to break out classroom sessions on a numbe
 r of topics of interest to all beekeepers\, they will be hosting guest spe
 aker and author Tammy Horn\, State Apiarist of Kentucky.\n\nIn 2005\, Tamm
 y published Bees in America: How the Honey Bee Shaped A Nation. In 2006\, 
 she was named NEH Chair of Appalachian Studies at Berea College\, where he
 r research resulted in a pilot project focusing on the relationship betwee
 n coal mine reclamation sites and honey bees. In 2011\, Tammy also wrote B
 eeconomy: What Women and Bees Can Teach Us about Local Trade and the Globa
 l Market\, in addition to several papers and magazine articles.\n\nOn Satu
 rday afternoon\, an election will be held for the positions of President\,
  Secretary and odd numbered District Representatives.\n\nThe public is wel
