DESCRIPTION:The Michigan Beekeeper Association and Michigan State Universit
 y Extension (MSU Extension) are excited to welcome beginning and experienc
 ed beekeepers to the Michigan Beekeepers Association's Spring Conference o
 n Saturday\, March 1.\nThe spring conference will take place at the MSU Ke
 llogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing\, Michigan. Online regis
 tration and additional conference information is available through the Mic
 higan Beekeepers Association's website. View the spring conference agenda 
 for session topics\, which include five tracks of presentations on beginni
 ng beekeeping\, honey bee health\, hive styles\, gardening for pollinators
  and more.\nJamie Ellis\, PhD\, will deliver the conference’s keynote pr
 esentation on “A Year in the Life of a Honey Bee Colony”. Ellis is the
  Gahan Endowed Professor of Entomology in the Entomology and Nematology De
 partment at the University of Florida and also the co-host of the ever pop
 ular Two Bees in Podcast.\nConferences are perfect for increasing your bee
  knowledge\, connect with old friends and fill your cart with beekeeping s
 upplies. Pre-conference activities will take place on Friday\, Zachary Hua
 ng\, Will be offering workshop on honey bee anatomy and dissection. What a
  tremendous opportunity to dissect bees and gain and a deeper understandin
 g of what you are seeing.\nAlso on Friday Tour MSU's Pollinator Performanc
 e Center\, which focuses on research and extension to support beekeepers\,
  growers whose crops depend on insect pollination\, and the public. During
  this tour\, you'll get to check out the honey processing room\, an overwi
 ntering chamber\, beekeeping equipment\, and other educational stations.
