SUMMARY:Indiana Bee School XXI
DESCRIPTION:2023 Bee School will be held on February 25th\, 2023 at Horizon
  Convention Center in Muncie\, Indiana. We have two Plenary speakers\, Jer
 ry Hayes and Scott McArt. Jerry has spent most of his adult life around be
 ekeeping.  He was a Research Technician at the USDA/ARS Baton Rouge Bee L
 ab\, Dadant and Sons Regional Manager\, Dadant and Sons New Product Develo
 pment\, and AR Manager\, Chief of the Apiary Section for the Florida Depar
 tment of Agriculture and Consumer Services\, Monsanto Honey Bee Health Lea
 d and Vice-President of Vita Bee Health North America.  Mr. Hayes was the
  Classroom Q&amp\;A Column of the American Bee Journal for almost 40 years
  and authored the ‘Classroom’ Book.  Jerry is now Editor of Bee Cultu
 re magazine.\n\nScott McArt\, an assistant professor of pollinator health\
 , helps run the Dyce Lab for Honey Bee Studies at Cornell University in It
 haca\, New York. He is particularly interested in scientific research that
  can inform management decisions by beekeepers\, farmers\, regulatory agen
 cies\, and the public. Research in the McArt lab focuses on the impact of 
 pesticides\, pathogens\, and management practices on the health of honey b
 ees and wild pollinators.\n\nAlong with our Plenary Speakers\, sessions an
 d discussions will be held for beekeepers with any level of skill\, experi
 ence or ability.  Other sessions include Tricks and Tips for Installing P
 ackages\, All About Drones\, How to Grow Your Business Using Social Media\
 , Maximize Your Honey Production and Beekeeping Gadgets and Hacks.\n\nAlon
 g with a great program\, we'll have our raffle\, live auction and silent a
 uction again.  Many vendors will be on-hand with a variety of  displays 
 and supplies.\n\nThe cost to attend is the same as it's been for several y
 ears now: $50 for members\, $60 for non-members and all registrations incl
 ude lunch.  Our goal is to make it affordable for our beekeepers to atten
 d.\n\nWe will hold our Beginning Class again this year during the same tim
 e and the cost has not changed either: $55 for members\, $65 for non-membe
