  two of honey bees in your backyard can supply you with plenty of honey fo
 r family and friends\, as well as increase your garden’s productivity\, 
 by ensuring adequate pollination. Perhaps just as important\, though – a
 s any beekeeper will tell you – is that spending time with these gentle 
 creatures can be a truly gratifying experience: it’s a fascinating\, han
 ds-on hobby that engages both the mind and the body. And there is no bette
 r way to introduce your children to nature’s wonders than the gentle hon
 ey bee!\n\nJoin members of the 300+ strong Back Yard Beekeepers Associatio
 n in a course designed to provide the complete novice with all the informa
 tion needed to get started keeping bees this spring.\n\nThe classes will i
 nclude instruction on how to assemble the hive\, install the bees\, inspec
 t the colony\, and much more. A brief historical background and some basic
  biology and hive sociology will be covered\, followed by an introduction 
 to the parts of the hive\, tools and materials commonly encountered. There
  will be both lectures and demonstrations\, and there will be plenty of op
 portunities to ask questions. Join us this spring\, and begin to experienc
 e the deep satisfaction of working with one of nature’s most amazing cre
