DESCRIPTION:What you'll learn:\nHoney bees are important pollinators of our
  crops that have helped humanity for as long as recorded history. The impo
 rtance of honey bees continues to be essential for humanity\, saving them 
 from the many threats they face will greatly benefit future generations. I
 n this course you will be introduced to the biology of the honey bee and l
 earn about the many products and services provided by honey bees besides p
 ollination. These products may constitute profitable business ventures esp
 ecially in the US.\n\nParticipants will learn a brief summary of the essen
 tials for beekeeping and will gain hands-on experience working with Europe
 an colonies at the ASU Bee Lab. The main course objectives include::\n\n 	
 Basic honey bee biology\n 	How to start a honey bee colony\n 	How to manag
 e a honey bee colony\n 	How to address common challenges for beekeeping in
  Arizona\, such as re-queening an Africanized colony and providing water f
